Your Turn! In a Game of One-Upmanship with the Math Department, History Teachers Decide to Spend Development Day Laying Siege to The Cloisters.

Friday— After the math department returned from their professional development day at the Museum of Math with wide grins spreading across their faces and ice cream cones in hand, the history department was feeling a little jealous.  But rather than wallow in their sadness, the determined group of teachers decided to do something even better!  After raucous debate, the department eventually settled on an all-out siege of The Cloisters next Wednesday.  Ms. Williamson was especially excited, stating, “I’ve been storing a trebuchet in my garage for two years, just waiting for this day to come!”

Students were surprised the department was emboldened to attempt to recreate another historical event after last year’s traumatic re-enactment of the Salem Witch Trials, in which Mr. Berkowitz was declared a witch and set to drown before law enforcement intervened.
