The Black Affairs Club held a Community Time last month to answer some common questions students were too afraid to ask. Afterwards, the school broke into advising groups to discuss diversity at Trinity and you’ll never guess what happened next! That’s right, a twelfth-grade advising group, made up of twelve white students and one Asian, solved racism! The revelation came after the group agreed that racism was a problem and must be acknowledged by the Trinity student body. After increasingly energized debate, two biologically white males who drove the discussion proclaimed that if we just understand the historical context of racism in America, students of color can overcome the adversity they face on a daily basis.
